Microscope 312 (unknown maker; inclinable
simple compound microscope; c.1890)
Microscope
312 is a simple compound inclinable microscope that should be dated
to c. 1890. The instrument is probably of French origin, but the maker is
unknown. It is known that the firm Radiguet & Massiot signed identical instruments in France, and these
microscopes were also sold by different companies at that time, including in
England and USA (Figure 1).
