Microscope 592 (unassigned maker; simple compound
microscope; late 19th - early 20th century)
Microscope 592 should have a French
origin and should be dated to the late 19th century or early 20th
century. The maker is unknown. An identical microscope, although a version
without focusing with rack and pinion like this instrument, was featured in
the Billings collection (Figure 1).
