Microscope 598 (unknown maker; small inclinable compound microscope; c.1890)

Microscope 598 is a simple and very small compound inclinable microscope that should be dated to c. 1890. The instrument is probably of French origin, but the maker is unknown. It is known that the firm Radiguet & Massiot signed identical instruments in France, and these microscopes were also sold by different companies at that time, including in England and USA (Figure 1).
