Microscope 602 is a small student microscope of French origin from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Focusing is by a simple rack and pinion system. Similar microscopes appear in the catalogues of the French companies E. Vion (1929), Boucart (c. 1890), Derogy (1910), Latour (1897), and Deyrolle (1900, 1931) (Figure 1).
